Looking at the foundations of what Western philosophy has traditionally claimed to be the basis of reality, it is difficult for her not to question its apparent static nature. Is it meaningful to think of the universe as something composed of separate objects?

Recently, she has been working between theories of speculative quantum physics and spiritual practices that propose that circumstances and conditions preexist a "thing." It is heavily inspired by Karen Barad’s concept of intra-action, which suggests that entities do not exist independently before they interact. Rather than beginning with separate objects, reality happens through relationships. In a world where conditions precede things, the relationships between entities become fundamental.

From this perspective, care is more than an act between individuals. It relies on an attentiveness toward the conditions that sustain coexistence. Climate, ecology and human experience can’t be understood as separate parts but as expressions of shared systems that depend on each other. Care therefore becomes a practice of maintaining the conditions that allow life, change and relation.
