At first glance, the works of Alexandra Afonskaia and Ivan Afonskii appear fundamentally different. Yet beneath this visual contrast lies a profound shared foundation. The Diaries brings together two parallel visual narratives that chronicle the texture of life through personal experience, memory, observation, and emotion. Over the years, the artists have lived across multiple countries and cities, accumulating a rich and complex range of experiences. Now based in France, they revisit and reinterpret these moments through their respective artistic practices.
